First Experience With Clay: When I was in college, I decided to give handmade gifts one year. I found some polymer clay at an art supply store and made a miniature scene for my mother and a sculpture of myself for my sister. After moving to New Orleans, I became more fully involved in working with it and started a business designing and producing polymer clay items.
Past Teaching Experiences: I started out teaching some friends basic techniques in working with polymer clay and then began teaching classes at a local Michael's Craft store.

Words of Encouragement to Novice Teachers:

"Don't sell yourself short. You probably know more than enough to teach basic techniques. There are plenty of people, new to the medium who could benefit from the experience and knowledge you have. Teaching is very fulfilling and helping someone develop their skills and techniques in this medium is a rewarding experience."
