Background Information
Years Teaching: 18
Years Teaching Clay: 7
Years Working w/Clay: 23
Freelance: Yes
Specialties: I think that Jewelry and veneering objects are my specialty, but because I am a painter as well, I can easily tranfer my ideas on a surface as a wall hanging. I also teach quilts, so this helps with the colour mixing.
First Experience With Clay: I started polymer very early as soon as it came into the Greek market because I was crafting and searching different materials. But for the real techniques, I found in the USA studying and practicing hundreds of hours through the books of great teachers such as Mr Johnston, Maureen Carlson, Donna Kato and all These Giants of polymer clay art. I am trying to establish polymer in Greece as an art form, and I am really the first teacher in Greece having been commissioned by the public authority to teach in the villages. I had the first exhibition received with great enthusiasm from the public. Thank you all for your help through this site (PCC). Once you asked for the fairy wings from my daughter Elisabeth Tselepis who lived in the USA for four years, Thank you again.
Past Teaching Experiences: I have a specialty in poly flowers since I was undertaking wedding bouquets and corsages when I was in the States. They all say they look like real. I am a professional English teacher, consequently I am a very patient and warm teacher having a long experience with students.
Publication Experience: I intend to publish a book in Greece since no relative books with polymer exists here, only some booklets from Faber and some old publications.
Teaching Level: Semi-Pro

Words of Encouragement to Novice Teachers:
"For me everybody is a promising individual, and I always ecourage my students to practice a lot and make a good use of their imagination. From students I never expected to have much progress I was flabbergasted when they brought their work for the exhibition. We are working with a Big group show for the three villages where I teach, and they made gorgeous pieces of jewelry within 55 hours of lessons. I believe and praise every little effort as my spiritual advisor, the memorable Maria Mondessori, which through her books helped me to understand many things about children."
