I've done all the safety testing on polymer clay, so I'm sticking with that.  TLS is harder when baked than regular clay I think.

NO, I pretty much play with the stuff that interests me and don't or accept anything that doesn't. I like to fully explore one thing before moving on to another, but that doesn't mean I don't look at the others and let them perk in my mind. Sometimes I just grab all the new stuff and test it all and see what happens while I'm waiting for something else to bake or somthing

I've mixed magenta before, but that's a great idea. these are pretty close - carbon black, pumpkin, salmon, reflex violet, mink, sky blue, grey lavender and pink gold

I use a bandaid of clay over the pin backs with that inbetween and they are pretty darn tough

ditto. i actually hide the pinback under a sheet and then texture the entire back so it's almost as pretty as the front.

  That's what I do also cat, but I forget the date. My grandmas joolry used to have just a wire that was elegantly bent for the pin back and the back part was embedded into the piece
