Millefiori: An Italian glassworking term, meaning 'thousand flowers' that Venetian glassworkers used to describe their copies of ancient mosaic glass. It refers to decorative glass rods or canes made by fusing multicolored elements together , cutting them crosswise, and melting them onto the suface of beads or other objects.
