Polymer Clay Central

Holiday ornaments, earrings, pins, beads...anything can be made using these cute Candy Canes submitted by Jane Mahneke. She learned to make these little Candy Canes at the classes she attends at the Los Angeles Polymer Clay Guild.

These examples use Red, White and Green Fimo.

Step 1: Make two retangles, one of red and one of white, about 1" x 1-1/2" on the #1 setting of the pasta machine.

Step 2: Place the two rectangles on top of each other and cut through the stack width-wise into 1/4" pieces.

Step 3: Stack the pieces on top of each other, alternating the red and white colors.

Step 4: Press seams together well and form into a candy cane shape.

Step 5: Fill in around the candy cane shape with Christmas green color being careful to preserve the curves of the cane pattern. You could also wrap the cane in red.

Step 6: Reduce to desired size, slice and bake.
