Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?
My husband is a teacher at elementary school. He brought home some leftovers. This, some three years ago, was the start of my addiction (my hobby).
Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?
No, I use my own imagination.
What is your specialty?
Making funny and fantasy animals/creatures.
Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?
It's very versatile, comes in a nice range of colors, is easy to use. I love to express myself in 3D with it.
Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?
I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?
No, not yet, but I showed my creations for three months in several libraries near my home town and will do so in August this year, so who knows...
What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?
I expect to still have fun working this clay and hope to work more detailed by then.
Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?
Just start, use your imagination and keep on having fun.
Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft
Yes, a German Fimo group on the internet: http://de.groups.yahoo.com/group/fimo.
What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?
Fimo soft and Creall-therm. I mix them for the colors and the consistency.
Last and most important can you tell us all about you? Your family, your training?Leave Your Interview!
